"MYMETER™ has been very beneficial for me to keep tabs on my house and shop’s heating and electrical needs. I currently work for Westinghouse Electrical Company and am in Field Service. "I have been a customer of yours for only a short year and I can't thank you enough for setting up the MYMETER™ program.....there are many stories that I can share......
Story #1 - Our property is a seasonal lake home and since we are not always there, it is nice to have something looking out for us...MYMETER™ did. I turned on one of the heat sources on in November, the electric boiler, and after monitoring the electrically us I noticed how my electric use dramatically dropped. Upon investigating the possible solutions, sure enough, the boiler had issues and had stopped working, thus the electric use greatly declined We check on the cabin every other week and it would have been too long without having heat but we were saved by watching MYMETER™ reading. My family and the water lines greatly appreciate the MYMETER™.
Story #2 - After getting the boiler going again, I wasn't sure what to set the thermostat to, since this was a new purchase for us and really didn't have a clue on the setting, as the boiler isn't the main heat source. But after watching my electrical use, it was getting really high, so we adjusted our thermostats and our use of the boiler became more efficient. Again, thanks to MYMETER™, we were able to not waste electricity and have an electric bill that would have forced me to take out a loan.
Story #3 - Heat related again, as just recently the electrical use again seemed not right. The off peak seemed right, but the other meter, residential use seemed to have dropped. And almost like story #1, our main heat source, the furnace, stopped working. Thankfully the boiler was working, but it was nice once again to watch the meter and see there was a change in my usage, helping me get the furnace fixed and again to reduce any bigger problems."
